David Gibson is the owner of Catalyst 4, which provides business consulting and executive coaching
services. David is a certified professional coach and has over 20 years
experience working with high tech and public sector organizations.
David enjoys working with people and organizations that are taking on
challenging goals. He works with organizations, teams and individuals as a
catalyst for enabling people to reach their goals and acquire new capabilities.
Over the last 12 years, he has worked with business leaders,
managers and employees to develop and evolve organizations through strategic
planning, organizational change, leadership and team development and career
planning.
David is a certified professional co-active coach (CPCC) who
graduated from the Coaches Training
Institute in California and is a member of the
International Coach Federation.
He is a member of the Sprott Professional Programs
faculty at Carleton University, where he teaches Leadership and Project
Management programs. He is a certified facilitator of Team, Personal Development
and Career Planning tools including: Extended DISC tools , Lominger Voices 360 Degree Feedback, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and Birkman.
Previously, after completing a Masters in Electrical Engineering,
he joined Nortel Networks. Over a period of 10 years, he took on progressively
more challenging responsibilities to manage engineering teams
in the design of numerous integrated circuit chips and the introduction of new
technologies. He later lead organizations in the design and development
of new leading edge products.
David is a strategic thinker and planner who has a passion for learning. He enjoys helping others to
reach new peaks in effectiveness and designing creative ways for people to achieve success together.
